Touch the Future, Inc. is a non-profit organization supporting the development and operation of the Concord, NH, McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (MSDC), through fundraising and other promotional activities. MSDC honors two American space heroes from the “Granite State” – Alan B. Shepard, the first American in space, and Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space.

MSDC will have a phased opening beginning in January 2009: Phase One – Construction completed, Redstone rocket, interactive exhibits in astronomy and Earth and space sciences, planetarium theater, Cosmic Café, and gift shop. Phase Two – Next Generation Challenger Learning Center, Distance Education Center, space capsules in the atrium. Phase Three – Aeronautics Wing including flight school, rooftop Observatory.

MSDC promotes science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) educational opportunities for people of all ages through exciting, interactive exhibits
