Touch the Future, Inc. is a non-profit organization supporting the development and operation of the Concord, NH, McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (MSDC), through fundraising and other promotional activities. MSDC honors two American space heroes from the “Granite State” – Alan B. Shepard, the first American in space, and Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space.

MSDC will have a phased opening beginning in March 2009: Phase One – Construction completed, Redstone rocket, interactive exhibits in astronomy and Earth and space sciences, planetarium theater, observatory, Cosmic Café, and gift shop. Phase Two – the McAuliffe-Shepard Timeline, interactive exhibits about the cosmos, gravity, and universal science concepts. Phase Three – Aeronautics Wing including flight school and fighter jet and spacecraft in the atrium. Phase Four - Next Generation Challenger Learning Center.
