The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is an expansion of the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium. The 45,000 square foot facility is currently under construction and will open in several phases beginning in January 2009. The new Center will feature state-of-the-art, interactive exhibits and innovative programs focusing on aviation, astronomy, and Earth and space sciences.
